Title: TWO WAGONS
Post by: RAGNAR on September 02, 2009, 11:25:00 PM
Two wagons were parked in the main area, trophies of a long range patrol covering many days.

One wagon is loaded almost to overflow with everything nonperishable from bolts of silks and cloths to a couple tarn saddles and tack. I would ask this wagon be unloaded and a list of goods made so we know what has been gained. It appears it was a resupply or a merchant carrying many goods and not specialising in any one item. There are two wagons packed into this one as it is one of four wagons taken. One wagon was left behind loaded with tharlarian tack and saddles. One wagon broke an axle and its contents were quickly loaded into this one. It will likely take a couple days to offload and inventory.

The second wagon is a large heavy wagon resembling a kennel wagon as it has bars in a cage shape covered by the wagon exterior. We were able to break open the door but were unable to break open an extremely heavy iron box within. Even myself, and three other Warriors were unable to lift it. We could only slide it across the wagon platform. I believe it to be a Caste wagon of Bankers or lenders, as it is filled with parchments and scrolls of accounting, as well as counting devices and weighing devices. No keys were found among the dead and we wasted no time looking through the wagon too closely. We just brought it all with us.

We hammered on that chest with everything we had at our disposal including my axe, but it held firm. The hinges are mostly internal except for just a fine glimpse of the hinge between lid and bottom box. Good thick plate with heavy rivets and banding around it. The lock is not of padlock design. It too is an interior lock with only the keyhole really for access. Even the rivets have been hammered flatter so my axe would not even get a bite to sheer those off.

turn the chest on its end so that everything slides to the bottom then use red hot rods, may take days but iron melts in the end?

*peers at the chest, kicks it a few times, muttering*

*glances around and then leaves a little scrawled note*

Master Ubar, my Beloved, just fart on it a few times and then then wood and metal will disintegrate..

loves,
woobie

*scrams*

*ponders the issue for a while*

Is there not something we can use to remove the internal workings of the lock, like a corrosive similar to what the glass makers use?

After much observing the Lock and readied with His Lock Picking tools, Amber was searching various desks and found a set of keys upon a keyring. She tossed them over to Me and I sat teting a couple of keys, taking note that most of the looked as if normal keys save for one. It's strnge design had caught My attention so I tested it and he Chest had opened. For now, I wait for Ragnar to come for the Chest to find it is open and ready for the Ubar to ransack it.

The rence pad that sits in the supply wagon (of sorts) that will be delivered to their appropriate Clan wagons this evening. I would like to say that this is only a partial list, more will be listed as I make my way through the wagon.

8 rolls of excellent to fine leather. To be split amongst the Leatherworker's and Cobbler's Clan.
3/4 quarters filled crate of various arrows, to be given to the Bowyer and Fletcher's Clan. NOTE: I did not count what was inside, not wanting to cut myself.
2 crates that are nearly filled with iron ingots. The crates are marked with the contents, didn't find out until I opened the top crate. To be taken to the Iron Master's Clan.

(more to follow)

(taking up where Taryn left off)

10 bolts of Turian silk, which a couple of the slaves (NPC) have taken a liking to
4 brand new tarn saddles and sets of control straps (1 in need of minor repair)
2 good condition kailla saddles (no qivas with them but the pockets are there)
4 temwood planks to be given to the bowyers and wood workers

These have been moved nest to the other things already inventoried and I replaced the list near the entry flap

Question, did anyone else do any more inventory on the wagon of stuff, or was it just left alone? If not, then I will continue where I left off, unless the wagon was taken care of an such and nothing else was posted...

Ahem...*looks around*....

Remember my look I posted on the Turia thread?

Yeah...right here...You are doing it right.

Before Turia trip, for supplies, a whole camp inventory was made...is how we knew we needed supplies.

This has been a public service announcement.  We now return you to your normal broadcast.

Taryn

There is plenty of clan work that needs to be done in preparation for migration.
