Master Ubar,
A girl was hoping you might clarify something regarding her, please.
When you call her by name, does Master Ubar pronounce it with a long 'e' like those earthen cars that are um..driven..~eyes twinkling'~..or like a long 'i' in papaya; that sweet, delicious fruit with butter-like consistancy and musky undertones ?...she was just...~pausing~...wondering, Master Ubar.......

-pronounces it like the car, but then I usually get it wrong-
-
keeee-ya.....
But I usually pronounce things wrong as well. LOL
-
and I was always saying it in my mind like the long I sound .. rhyming with papaya
-
would go with the papaya -nod nod-
-
*ponders a name change.* LOL
-
*laughs*
careful what you wish for..
-
I say it with a long e sound (such in the case of the car), I'm fascinated by the Japanese language, and in most cases the I is sounding like a long E. -s-
-
~listening to the debate going on around her and offers up the origin of her choice of name~...she chose it from the finnish girl name meaning: from that beautiful place...but didnt see a pronouncement for it..~withdrawing to listen again~

looks at woobinator - Ubar Papaya?
-
*falls over laughing*..
wonders if that would be Master Ubar Papaya to slaves.. LOL
*scrams*

I always say it like the car - KIA. -grins- I have a feeling that is how the Finnish might pronounce it, since Finland is close to Germany, and my understanding of the German language is that it often has the harsher sounds. Of course, since I took Spanish in high school, I could be utterly wrong. Heh heh... Hey, it's a lovely name either way. How do YOU hear it in your head? -grins-
-
-chuckles w/ woobie- hmmm I think it does
-
delilah,
she says 'kiiiah' in her head'. thanks for asking her.
