It was a Tuesday morning and my partner and I were in California working a site for a cable company as auditors. When we woke up we went over some notes before starting our day of being on the road and inspecting work sites and cable lines. We turned on the tv to watch the weather when we saw the news of a plane hitting one of the towers. We were riveted and watched a live feed of the second plane, crossing the camera's live feed line of sight and slam into the second tower. Even the news reporters couldnt believe the feed and the plane flying in.
My partner couldnt believe what he saw and neither could I. We were ex-military and defending our country from enemies foreign and domestic couldnt have hit more home than that moment, but later that day it would hit harder than we would come to realize.
See, my partners brother was part of an acting company, flying out of Boston to Los Angeles. He missed his flight with his acting company and had to take another flight. Flight 175.

at 6:03 am our time out in California.
My partner didnt know it, but he had just witnessed the murder of his Brother on live t.v. He found out later that day around 1308, and we couldnt leave out of California so that he could be with his family during this time.
Surely it is strange, see, because I flew out of Boston on that Monday, September 10 to Los Angeles from the same airport. We were warned that if we missed our flight, we would fly out the next day because of company expenses. My partner held the flight up because I was late and was running through the airport. Almost missed it.
September 11, 2001 is a date the world will remember especially Americans as it was the day innocent people lost their lives as we were attacked upon our own soil. Of course we will never forget what happen, especially me.
