Meriweather strikes again, and knocks himself out of the game

safety Brandon Meriweather now has used the crown of his helmet twice against opposing ball carriers.]

The Ravens lost the heart and soul of their team. When one or two step up to lead the team on the field again, and no... not the QB... but rather players that will inspire others regardless of situation... the team will begin returning to its former self. Right now they don't have this, and are just going through the motions.

Yuppers... Karma at work.

ALLEN PARK, Mich. -- The Detroit Lions are looking into an alleged verbal abuse incident involving starting center Dominic Raiola during Sunday's 22-9 loss to the Green Bay Packers.

Raiola is alleged to have hurled insults, some involving the sexuality and physical appearance of some University of Wisconsin band members, both before the game and at halftime.

Michael Leckrone, the director of bands at Wisconsin, told ESPN.com that the incident occurred just before the start of the national anthem in the end zone as the band was planning on finishing up its pregame performance. The Wisconsin band travels once a year to perform at a Packers game.

"The band was lined up in the end zone preparing to finish 'The Star-Spangled Banner,' which would complete the pregame, and basically they were verbally assaulted by a member of the Detroit Lions team," Leckrone said. "To their credit, they just stood there and did what they were supposed to do, which is focus on their performance.

Supposed to be professional, but think they are untouchable.

So much for heroes. Ban his sorry ass from the NFL.

An irate Texans fan "berated" quarterback Matt Schaub at his home Tuesday, a Houston radio station reported.

No arrests were made and nobody was hurt, but Sports Radio 610 reported that police responded to a call from Schaub's house, where an angry fan confronted Schaub and took pictures of his family, which allegedly were posted on Facebook. Schaub, 32, is married with three young daughters.

The fan left before police arrived.
