I've got a slight issue with the net at the house.  Seems one of the windstorms lately, or maybe thunderstorm.. something.. has screwed up the lines or connectors..   I dunno.  All I know is that I have a Windstream/ATT person coming out Wednesday the 20th to check the lines and see what is going on. 

Don't get me wrong, I have internet.  Kinda.  it'll connect anywhere from a minute up to 10, then nothing.  Back and forth.  I've rest the router, checked the lines inside the house, moved the router, rerun the cables on my end when I moved it..  Still does it.   So it's somewhere outside.  Which I know nothing about. 

Hopefully they can get me in sooner.  But I am not overly hopeful given the track record.  Never know, I might be due upgrades too.. 

Anyways, I will be back as soon as I can, as soon as I get it so I can keep online.  Currently, my time online is at work and work sucks for playing.  Spring is......busy..

The first major issue is ATT...

Okay long story short..... guy that looks at the outside cables came, said my modem was outdated, needed a new one..   couple days later, new modem is installed..  keep in mind, I've done stuff like this for my work..so I have a decent idea on what I am doing..  didn't fix it..  somehow they said I didn't install it right, so they sent someone to install it..  Still didn't fix it.. this guy said it's in the outside cables, so he put in a new work order for someone to come fix the outside cables.. 

If I strangle the people at Windstream......Please don't think badly of me. 

that was supposed to be yesterday.......  had to cancel it..

Tuesday I found my uncle died.  Was it unexpected.. half and half.  He was in the hospital for pneumonia that wasn't responding to meds.. and had a massive heartattack.  It was mom's only brother...her big brother even.. the one that came in for holidays and everything else..  now it's dealing with family and all of that which comes along with a death....  and my mom is not taking it well..  Hell, I'm not taking it well, but I can't break down, I have to be strong for her.

And add into all of that.........  I think most of you know I have a daughter.  My daughter is 18 and a senior in high school.  So there are end of year things..
So it's been Freshman orientation at the university/registering/etc last weekend.. 
This weekend is senior prom...
Next weekend is a fund raiser, her academic team group is taking their project to a national event after having won the state competition..   
Then the weekend after that.......Graduation..   (Rags you should have pictures in your Inbox.. feel old yet?  )

Anyways... I'm going to have a breakdown myself before May is over with....  urgh..  I wake up more exhausted than when I went to bed. 


I love you all and I promise you've not been forgotten. I'm just run ragged.

Deepest condolences on your loss. There is always a place for you here when you are able to return, and I do hope that is soon, for you are missed!!!!!

Oh yeah.... I definitely feel old. *S* Knowing you, I watched her grow up by proxy. You, and she, have done a fine job!!!!!

No breakdowns allowed. Well... at least no mental or physical disabling ones anyway. If you need an ear or a shoulder, you know how to reach me.

Techs... wait until they climb their ladder then accidentally knock the ladder out from under them. Need a boot shine or have some heels in need of a dye job? Dark red is a fashion statement!!!!!
