I have spent the last 16 hours at a regional trauma center with My best friend. Her husband works on bridges, and fell today 100 ft landing on his face. It doesnt look good at this time, but to be honest someone must be looking after him as we didnt think he would make it this long.
List of injuries:( Put so everyone can understand)
Both legs broken
Pelvis fracture
Left arm broken
All his ribs are broken
Facial fractures ( well too many to list)
Head trauma- 2 bleeds, air on the brain and blood on the brain ( not to mention the bone and hair that was removed from his grey matter).
Lungs- fluid filling both lungs just about as fast as they are trying to remove it. Several air pockets on and around the lungs.None of the ribs punctured either lung , but the left lung got nicked pretty good.
They have induced a coma state etc... so he wont move. The next 24 hours are the most critcal for the brain and lungs. Jayme and Joel have been my dear friends for like forever please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
