Evacuations

Has anyone heard from Malefic.... have they already evacuated.?

   my parents are leaving tomorrow afternoon and going to Jackson Ms.  Mother is still slated to go into surgery tuesday morning for the first cornea transplant.. my brother will be with them.

 The Assembly of God churchs I have been told are already trying to open themselves up for shelters as well... so if anyone needs to get some place..they need to do it now.  NOAA has stated that they believe that this will be a cat 5 storm as it clears cuba.


They said that Katrina was a once in a while storm.... I think they need to rethink that idea.

if you need me family hit msn.. I doubt I wll be online much until her surgery is over and I know they are safe.

I just got off the phone with Taryn, she spoke to Mal this morning and Mal and the kids and the 'rents are going to be leaving tonight, apparently they are going to go to florida.

At least they have a plan!

I send my well wishes to everyone in that part of the country, I just dont know or understand the kinds of things happening as Ive lived in san diego my whole life and never had to deal with this kind of thing.

Hope everyone is safe and sound during the storms.  Which reminds me, I really need to call my Mother at some point tonight to see if she's weathering the storms alright.  She lives in Florida, central Florida, that doesn't really get hit with storms of this magnitude -knocks on wood- But I still worry.

went under tropical storm watches today... and remembers Ivan.. whom was supposed to hit where Gustav is, and well, needless to say... we suffered greatly from its slight jog to the east, we have gassed up filled the gas cans checked on the generators and prepared as best we can.. though if like Ivan it doesn't do the side step until 2 hours off shore like the love to do...then we will have no choice but to stay for it all... 24 hours of Ivan scared the shit out of me.. not sure I want his Russian Counterpart Gustav knocking on my door..any time soon

Just an update..... the members of my family both immediant and cousins and such are all evacuated and now safely inland.
