Torvaldsland is based on the Vikings, while Tuchuks are based more on the Mongolians.

No, Tuchuk if Mongolian influence and Torvaldsland which is located in the North are based on the Vikings. RAGNAR was born in the North, as a Torvaldsland.

Though Rags was born a Torvie, and is now a Tuchuk Ubar, THIS Tuchuk goes by the Mongolian influences of the books.  Not once I don't think have I ever seen Rags go.. We used to do this way back in the day in Torvaldsland.  However, obviously in looks and coloring there is a lot of Torvie blood running around in our Tuchuk.
