Send it my way, I love the snow, walking around barefoot in the first snowfall is the most unique feeling I have ever had the chance of experiencing... ~smiles~

Yeah, cold, wet, and if you are barefoot at the time...stinky.

I agree, shoveling part isn't fun, neither is trying to drive through a parking lot that hasn't been plowed yet, though it was nice of the police officer who pulled me over for a bad tail light (to which I found out my license was expired oops), he went in first and I followed... Though coming back out, the track marks were buried under 5" of snow that fell during the time I was helping someone move from one apt to another (thankfully it was a fully enclosed complex)...

I have pictures of the first snowfall when we were in Minnesota, like I said, I couldn't help myself, I ran downstairs with my pamfer slippers and went to catch the snowflakes on my tongue, but ended up going through the snow around the entrance to the apt complex barefooted in the newly fallen snow... ~a happy smile appears on my face at the memory and toes curl in delight as I can still feel the softness of the wet snow between my toes~ When I got back up to our apt, my pamfer slippers were covered with whiteness, and hubby and ex-roommates looking at me funny because the slippers were in my hands and my feet and toes were wet and bright red from being exposed to the ice cold snow... ~laughs~ I got a lecture from hubby and ex-roommate's mom, but I just shook my head telling them I had never experienced snow falling before, and it was something I told myself that I would do, besides try to catch flakes on my tongue, which btw, is not that easy to do when the snow is wet snow..

I'm one of those goofy ones, I love snow!  We have 12 ways in my language to say snow.  I love sledding, x country skiing, riding horses in the snow.  Hunting is soooo much easier in the snow.  And there's nothing like ice fishing.  I love ice skating too.  There's nothing like having a big pot of stew or chilli on the fire along with hot chocolate after being out sledding or fishing........ Added advantage, not so many people do those things anymore, so we're pretty much alone on the lake, or pond, or hillside.

Stinging snow, sideways snow, blot out the sun snow, soft snow, good snow, bad snow, not gonna stay around long snow, snow that's going to last, blizzard snow, swirly snow, snowdrift snow....... yeah, in all it's wondrous variety, I love snow!

My favorite times are just after it's snowed, snow covering everything, building a fire in my yard, a full moon and hot cocoa on the fire, dragging out my lawn chair and just listening to the coyotes howl.  It's amazing how snow illuminates the landscape at night, even without the Moon.
