April Fools Day Kajuralia and Costume Party

PClaw has been closed for three years, so some may have forgotten our long tradition of having an OOC Party on April Fools Day.

The Room will not be on Gor, from Noon US Mountain time on April first, until dawn the next day, call it 6AM.  Kinda like Brigadoon, once a year, this place is somewhere else.

It will be a Gorean theme OOC Party.  Come as somebody you like or  somebody you hate.  Somebody you would like to see on Gor or somebody who is a total misfit for Gor.

Come as a common kajira, or a lost FW, or an Orion Slave Girl.  It just doesn't matter.  You can even come as yourself if you want.

I am sorry that I was not able to attend like I had hoped... But with the migraine that had started before I had the procedure and continued until I got home and long after... I was so not able to make sense of anything, much less try and come in and keep up with the room...

Hope it was a success, and hopefully next year things will be different and I will be able to attend..

I would like to thank my True, Kimba, for putting this event on.  I was having a very stressful week in r/t, and the party was just what I needed.  It was good to see so many show up, and this 'HO-STESS' was delighted to welcome so many celebrities, such as Rush Limbaugh, Jean Luc Picard, Shrek, Fiona, 'The Refrigerator' Perry, and others.  The usual gang of misfits did their usual schtick, and I hope that everyone enjoyed it as much as I did.

Thanks again, Kim.  Let's definitely make this an annual event, dontcha' think?

It was a good time had by all indeed, and something which should be annually or mayhap semiannually. I had a stressful time as well and also a bit under the weather. This was something to boost my spirits up.

It's been an annual event since 2003, except for 2008-9, when the Old Lair was closed.  Let's hope that next year's party will be the best one ever, True.

Most Homes on SL-Gor have a monthly OOC Party.  That might be one of the few good things from SL we can bring back here.

This sounds like a pretty good idea... I know Mac up stairs used to hold events every once in a while that were open to the public... maybe we could set up a rotation for the rooms on WM... I would be open to hosting a event in my room.

Ok by me.  That might be fun, to take our Gorean characters to another realm for a party.  Or that night do something totally different.  I know Medi likes Medieval, maybe we can do Mayday there.

But we get April Fools, no matter what.

I was thinking of some other roleplay situations similar to Gor, that might be fun to play out for a night.  I have been talking for years about playing AD60, the Bouddica revolt against Rome.  I was thinking south sea islands in the Captain Cooke era, taking over a native island might be a fun one-night theme too.

Thanks, True, I will work on an idea for May...it is the month of this typists birthday.  I kind of like the idea of different rooms hosting an OOC event each month, it will give us a chance to safely explore each room, talk to the residents there, and find more common ground, and to just have some fun!  r/t is so hard, and v/t can be hard, too.  Having an evening to play once a month is a great idea!
