The fall festival has come to a close in MacLaaren. Old man McGinty won the costume contest with his version of the creatures from the caves, complete with howl. It was learned later that he was not even wearing a costume, he had just forgotten to put on his shirt nor was he tring to sound like the creatures but had stepped on a sharp stone in the street. But a prize is a prize so he remains our winner.
