Our wintering lands are wonderful.
The grasses are high lush and green, nice and thick. Perfect for stock grazing.
The nights are comfortable seventies on average and the heat of the day is normally around the mid eighties.
There is notably more precipitation, though usually short gentle rains are the norm.
There is still almost a steady breeze allowing good airflow within camp though not quite as strong as our summering lands in general.
Our location is a bit further to the NE than last wintering, which locates us a long day away from The Point by wagon, and an easy ride by kailla.
Though not usually the norm, RAGNAR has chosen to locate the camp around a small river that in general is perhaps fifteen to twenty feet across and about two feet deep, though it does widen in some places and does have a section that deepens abruptly to about five to eight feet.
Naturally springs are plentiful in the encampment. NOTE... there are no hotsprings.
The Kassar are just SW of us back across the RoT.
The Kataii are three long days ride to the West of us.
The Paravaci are another two days beyond the Kataii and just to the South.
