cleaned out the arrow,  stitched the wound, then dressed it. Taryn should have it looked and stitches out in about 5 days.

Haldir suffered a snake bite in the territories (not an ost)....Master Necron sliced His leg open from ankle up to try and rid Him of the poison...when brought in the poison was attacking His system,....He went into full cardiac and respiratory arrest....I got Him stabalized when He went into convulsions...by then a Physician from Tuchuk AR arrived with anti-venom....(we have listed a poison antedote in our kit, but I really do not know if it is an anti-venom...I assumed it was not)

Below is the script of her treatment.....

(19:14:33 )
[PIC]
~Strykes~
Physician
Tuchuk,Ar
says to | | Haldir | |Haruspex O: finds an area that is very hot.. radiating heat.. noting the stitched wound.. wondering what that is from.. but not concerning myself with it now..

(19:16:32 )
[PIC]
~Strykes~
Physician
Tuchuk,Ar
says to | | Haldir | |Haruspex O: takes a tube and ascalple from the kit as well as a syringe of epinephrine draws up the syringe and places it in your vastus lateralus ( thigh muscle) aspirates the med then slowly injects it into your blood stream...

(19:18:47 )
[PIC]
~Strykes~
Physician
Tuchuk,Ar
says to | | Haldir | |Haruspex O: knowing I need to work quickly even thought he has the antidote in his system now.. I need to drain the fluid from the wound... moves to your head.. smoothing the hair from your eyes... speaking to you in a completely calm voice... I am going to place a tube into the area of the bite to drain the fluid and prevent infection... places a piece of willow bark to your lips.. chew this a bit.. it will ease your pain

(19:24:51 )
[PIC]
~Strykes~
Physician
Tuchuk,Ar
says to KaylaniCourted by Haldir: moves to the ankle and presses the wound area to check for turgor.. and pain... noting he doesnt wince... I take the scalpel and make a 1.5 inch cut deep into his flesh... immediately inserting a clear tube to drain possible infections and fluids.. smiles as I see that it begins to drain.. I place a bosk bladder on the floor for the tube to empty into...

19:25:55 )
[PIC]
~Strykes~
Physician
Tuchuk,Ar
at the medical wagon says to | | Haldir | |Haruspex O: pulls the prethreaded hook needle from my kit and quickly stitches the flesh around the tubing to hold it in place...

(19:26:35 )
[PIC]
~Strykes~
Physician
Tuchuk,Ar
at the medical wagon says to | | Haldir | |Haruspex O: then uses clean steril rep cloths to hold it in place

[PIC]
~Strykes~
Physician
Tuchuk,Ar
at the medical wagon says to | | Haldir | |Haruspex O: cleans your ankle and places it upon a fur roll to keep it elevated to aliviate swelling but not abve his heart so the blood wont flow as quickly and will give the antidote time to work effectively

(19:31:45 )
[PIC]
~Strykes~
Physician
Tuchuk,Ar
at the medical wagon says to kelsey {Kit}************: thank you prescious... ok... ring them out well and fold them then place the all around his leg.. from hip to the bottom of his foot then back up to his groin...

~Strykes~
Physician
Tuchuk,Ar
at the medical wagon says to KaylaniCourted by Haldir: no worries glad I was available to help... now.. the antidote will kill the venom and its effects.. but he may be dillusional for a few days. as a side effect of the antivenom.... keep the area dry but cool... and it needs to stay elevated at this level for at least one full daythen should resume full activities as tolerated

tonight I removed the drainage tube from Haldir's foot and stitched up the insicion....the woudn area looks well....minor swelling but normal color....I applied a agrimony/bluegrass based salve and wrapped the wound area up to keep it clean and dry. He is to take it easy and one day at a time...no overdoing it.

Master Ubar and His men returned to camp tonight...many were taken to the Med Wagon to be tended.....most had monor cuts, scrapes and bruises...just about all are suffering from lack of food, water and sleep....several had more serious wounds...I tended an arrow wound to the thigh and one to the shoulder as well as some broken ribs....

Ubar is now resting comfortably in the med wagon, he's still battle worn, so caution is to be used when you approach him, talk to him first before getting to close...

I saw to his wounds...

slash from a sword to his left arm, it's been cleaned, sutured close and bandaged... total 14 stitches

another slash across his left shoulder blade that was stitched close with saddle thread, I removed the stitches and the wound opened up to reveal that the slice was down to the bone, even the bone was grooved from the sword... I stitched internal stitches total 9, then external stitches 18...

dark bruise to face just below left eys down to jawline with left eye looking reddened from blood vessels but vision is fine, I decided against placing a mud pack to his face due to him being not all here due to battle fatigue, but will check it tomorrow and see how it looks and go from there...
