After I passed out from sheer exhaustion and the cold... others were brought in after taking care of the freight wagon that caught fire... Jo her hands were badly frostitten by the time Arlon got her into Ubar's wagon.

I came into main camp after being summoned by chase as pleasure needed her help, as she was removing bandages from Johari's hands... seems she got frostbite the night of the storm while she was helping Malefic and Arlon put out the freight wagon fire... also she has a burn to her forehead... she had her hands wrapped by another, and hasn't been to see a healer until now... and has a burn to her forehead...

I removed the bandages and found several blisters that had broken on her hands, they are now both rewrapped with green powder and antibotic salve, her forehead is fine, it's just a first degree burn...

Last night Malefic was in the med wagon where I was called to deal with her, it seems many besides Muse, Kelsey and myself can heal her without her going balistic... she is suffering from smoke inhalation, I gave her a mug of lyptus tea, and sent her off with a small vial of tincture, as she wasn't going to stay in the wagon...

Muse, her hands need to be looked at, I think they are burned or frostbitten, not sure as I knew better than to ask to look at them...

this warrior will survive but will need a lot of therapy.....will confer with ubar about how to fit his foot for a boot that will help him maintain his balance one we reach our wintering lands

I set up a Quarantine wagon this night...20 Outriders have cme down with, what is most likely pneumonia...I felt it best to keep them isolated....Nex and I are caring for the men as best we can...We have a staff of 5 healing slaves and two thralls...Taryn stocked us as best she could......the men rest on fur pallets on the floor.....most have iv's going....ferverfew tea is being given.....

Malefic has donated a small bit of medications for the men:  1 vial arro, 1 vial laudanum, 1 pouch dried valerian leaves, 1 pouch willowbark, and one vial of lavenia tincture....Nex had a small supply of kanda....though we normaly wouldn't use it, we are using it as tea to help ease the men's breathing and help them sleep....

No one is to appraoch this wagon....supplies are to be set down a distance away and someone will come fetch them.

(Nex/Taryn/dee - bosk broth and vulo broth should now be available since we stopped long enough to make some)

one of the unscarred men was bitten by his kaiila when he was getting it ready... luckily due to the layers of clothing he was wearing, the damage was a lot less than it would normally have been... due to the shortages of salves I used all sparingly, sutured up the more damaged areas of his skin where the kaiila's teeth embedded, and used honey on the others... he's on an IV due to blood loss and was given lavenia for pain, as her own personal stock of valerian is almost nil...

Last night when we stopped, I had ordered broth to all in the medical, surgical and freight wagons, along with botas filled and sent to where Kelsey and Nexhias are tending to those that were brought in ill...

have determined that the illness is due frm the weather conditions.....quaratine is lifted, although the men will remain in this wagon until recovered enough to go to their own personal wagons......will have the thralls bring this wagon up from the rear today to join the Medical and Surgical Wagon

Meg has a broken foot.....I manipulated the bones back in place and wrapped it well to pad it and protect it....the foot is extremely bruised....she was to remain completely off of it last night and keep it elevated...a crutch was brought for her use tomorrow

healing time - 3-4 days unless she puts weight on it

Last eve, a captive attempted to sabotage Ubar, by placing a sharp metal object under the saddle blanket of Ubar's war kaiila. The kaiila flew into a rage, destroying the steps of the Dragonslair and injuring our Ubar.

Taryn got the bleeding of a large gash to the bridge of Ubar's nose stopped by using black powder and got an IV of fluids started. After Ubar was finally taken to the med wagon, I stayed with him, and Elisa helped. I sutured the gash closed, Ubar has a broken nose that I set and hopefully straightened, and most likely will have the raccoon blackeye affect from such. He had splinters and shards of wood from the damaged steps of his wagon all over his body, bruises and abrasions. He has a wicked horizontal bruise across his back. I cleaned the wounds, and sparingly applied agrimony salve. At one point, a blood clot from his nose went down his throat and Elisa was able to clear his throat. He was still unconcious when I fell asleep at his side.

while in the apothecary shop, a tavern slave and Phoenix tracked me down......I wnet with the slave to the rooms Malefic had secured and found Taryn ill with a fever.....after examining her, I have found her to be exhausted and dehydrating.....the dehydration is probably what is accounting for the fever.....her nightmares have started as we get closer to the RoT....I gave her chamomile tea to relax her and help her rest......she will receive IV fluids tomorrow when she retruns from the city...

Her duties in the Med Wagon have been cut in half..........I will check with Nex, Elisa and Johari about taking some 1/2 shifts to help us out

The Surgical Wagons are entirely clear of patients as they have been steadily transferred to the Medical Wagon when stable.  Now, the Medical Wagon is also free:

*I was currently making my rounds within the Medical Wagon, releasing what few Outriders remained within... They were the amputees. More than one had lost an arm; most had lost fingers and toes, if not most or all of a foot... Some had undergone more than one surgery, after a part of a limb believed viable had started to show signs of blood-sickness. Infection was always a worry during migration. Still, the pink, tender stumps were doing as well as could be expected in all cases... The men were anxious to drive wagons where they must, ride where they could, or simply direct the slaves of their wagons if they could do little else...*

*I doled out rations to the Men as they departed, some supported by apprentice healing slaves who bore the burden of the satchels of food, as well... There was the ever-present jerky, but there was also fresh, flat pan-bread and FRUIT, glorious fruit! I had made the care packages myself, for the Outriders would need the strength. All had been on saline drips to replenish fluids lost, but some would remain anemic for long days to come...*

The Healers work to categorize and store the medicinal supplies bought in Turia.  All will be ready when we move out tonight.  I am sure the RoT will ensure that we Healers and healing slaves do not remain idle for long.

Indeed, the Medical Wagon did not remain empty for so much as an ahn.

I found the runaway, faramir, beneath the tack wagon.  It would seem this is where he ended up when he ran from Turia.  His wounds had not been tended, and he was barely conscious.

Another healing slave (NPC) and I have given medical care to faramir.  The crossbow bolt wounds in his thighs have been disinfected and stitched internally and externally, then bandaged well; the slices to both biceps from Turian spears have also been cleaned and only externally stitched, for they were shallow.  Infection appears minimal, fever slight.  Dehydration from blood loss is being counteracted with a saline IV drip.  The patient rests in the Medical wagon, naked and covered with furs, chained by the left wrist to the wall.  His ankles are also shackled with a chain run of twelve inches between them.  If he pulls the arm chain loose from the wall, he will still not get far.

He awaits Malefic.
