And in the category of I-shoulda-gone-to-bed-sooner... While I was logging Shy's treatment last night/this morning, a wounded Guest, Alora, came into Camp for treatment. She was limping and holding her right arm, and after we got her ....horse... tied off to a post near the commissary wagon, I examined her wounds. She was found to have deep gashes from sharp rocks on upper right arm and right thigh. Both gashes were disinfected, then bluegrass salve applied and external stitches placed: ten in the arm wound, thirteen on the leg. Agrimony/bluegrass salve was used to cover both wounds, then each was covered with clean bandaging. Alora was advised to change the bandage at least daily and that the stitches should be ready to come out in 3 days or so.
I offered the girl an available guest wagon, no idea if she remained with Us or not. She also complained of soreness basically all over from the fall which caused the gashes, if she has remained a more qualified Healer may wish to look her over this day as well.
