Also, Serinna has a cold starting, or started, I have her using dried sunflower leaves in a bowl of steaming water, and also gave her a small satchel with some to use in her brazier in her wagon when she sleeps...

After an encounter with the two thralls that were laughing and making fun of rett during and after his accident, Serinna went out to deal with them, one of the two got uppity and slammed his head into her nose, breaking it... it's been packed and braced with tape, after I adjusted it so it wouldn't be crooked... I have her being checked as well every ahn, as I suspect she also has a slight concussion... I also advised her that sneezing was going to be the worst thing through all this, though if everything looks good by tomorrow night, I will give her some willow bark tea to help with the pain, but not before...

Tonight while riding alongside the wagons delivering botas of black wine, tea and water to the drivers of the wagons, I was moving away from one of the wagons when Gavin, my kaiila, found a sleen hole in the frozen ground, he stumbled and I went over his head and landed face first on the frozen tundra... I was taken to the med wagon by one of the Outriders who saw me go down, as my nose was bleedng, but the good news is, it isn't broken, just bruised and sore... Leticia, applied moss paste to help reduce the swelling, well as best as she could as the nose is a hard area to take care of, and willow bark to chew on if I need it for the pain... I am on moderate duty, until such time as the swelling reduces, which should be in about a day or two...

a woman was brought to the wagons by a lead Outrider of an Or, she was cold, dehydrated and seems to be suffering from a chest cold... I placed her on an IV to get fluids into her system and have her propped up with several pillows and furs to allow her breathe a bit easier... Leticia will be giving her lyptus vapors to help clear her head and chest from congestion...

this morning I received word that the woman, who's name is tor-n, though it is not her name, as she's suffering from full amnesia, she gave herself this name... she's not sure where she is, nor has she ever heard of the Tuchuks... but I have been able to observe her as she was able to get out of bed to help a Warrior who was in need of something to drink, getting him water and helping him drink it... Leticia told me that she drank a small bit of broth earlier this morning and a bit more later, so I have had the IV removed... she is resting now, and when she wakes, I will try to get some more information from her about where and what has happened to her...

Last night I tended to rett, Serinna's thrall, who after being seen by an apprentice healer of the outer circle of wagons, was given old, ratty and nasty bandages... I took care to clean out the raw and bloody palms of his hands, I used the green powder liberally as I noticed that they had started to show signs of infection... his hands have been wrapped in clean and new bandages, and was given a small jar of agrimony salve and more bandages so either he or Serinna could change the bandages twice a day...

Earlier this morning after getting a report about the mistreatment of rett, and it seems others, Boris and I went out to the outer circle wagons to find out and get a report of what we had heard Neema, the apprentice healer, had been doing out there, we entered the wagon to find it in near shambles and smelling like death... When I went to the office of the head healer, I opened the door to find three thralls who had been chained and tagged to be disposed of... after finding something to remove the shackles, locks and chains from around the ankles and wrists of the thralls, they were taken to the inner circle wagons med wagon to be tended to... they are extremely dehydrated, malnourished and they were in a bad need of being bathed... it seems they were tortured by the one now known as neema{MTC}, previously the Apprentice Healer of the outer wagons, their wounds have been taken care of, and several other wounds have been found to be deeply infected, two of the thralls might have to be put to death, but for now, Leticia, one of the healers of the inner circle, is keeping an eye on them to see if they heal... they have been placed on IVs and are all being sedated, as so they don't move around much while they are healing...

Reports are coming to Muse and Kelsey about the conditions of the outer circle med wagon, the conditions and the lack of supplies... Even though the both of them had just resupplied the wagon out there, almost none of the supplies are left, word has reached Ubar, Muse and Kelsey about Neema selling the supplies to the highest bidder, instead of using them on those who needed them the most... Currently the hide roof, furs and blankets and a couple of cots have been taken out to the Territories to be burned, as per orders of Ubar... the supplies that have been found, have been placed in a crate and should be arriving in the main med wagon shortly, along with a report of what all we found so far while talking to those in the surrounding wagons...

the thrall billybob slipped on a rock by the river and cut his leg, below is what she did she is sure she has got it all wrong lol

: as she was about to leave the commissary area she heard tina the kettle slave call her name, turning round she saw her running towards to kadi, i moved towards her wondering what was up, reaching tina i held her while she got her breathe back, ok tina whats wrong what you need kadi for, slowly she told me of the thrall billybob that had fallen and cut his leg, she was saying that the blood was pouring out, omg i thought not a nicked artary, she turned and grabbed the med pack from outside the commissary wagon and asked tina to take me to billybob, we walked along the path as fast as we could, i saw a ring of thralls before me and one laying in the middle of the ring, stupid thralls they would get whipped if found here doing nothing, she pushed through them and told them all to bugger off before she called one of the outriders, that soon got them moving, she knelt on the grass beside billybob and set the medi pack beside her she opened it up

: ok billybob lets see what you have done to yourself, i took out some clean folded rep cloths and the bottle of saline she opened the bottle and carefully poured some onto the cloth, putting the top back onto the bottle she began to gently clean round the wound, it wasnt as bad as she thought it was going to be yes there was a lot of blood but no artary had been nicked, she cleaned all the blood away then taking another clean pad she holds it onto the wound untill it stopped bleeding which didnt take long, she smilled at billybob as he lay there i think he was enjoying having kadis hands on him, she laughed to herself as she took another look at the wound now that it had stopped bleeding

: the wound would need stiches, oh great she had never done stiches before, she rubbed some blue grass salve round the wound so as it could be numbing while she sorted the needles out, it would only need the outter area stiched, looking through the pack she found what she was looking for and made ready to start

: she tested the area round the wound making sure that it was numb, happy that it was she started to sew, she was useing a small bone needle with silk thread to sew the cut, how the heck he mangered to cut his leg she did not know he said it was on a rock near the river and that he had slipped, messing about more then likely but she didnt say anything to him, she made the stiches small and even so there wouldnt be so much of a scar, it took ten stiches in the wound and she tied them as tight as she dared cutting the ends of each one before beginning the next

: she tied off the last stitch and cut the threads, she put the needle back into its container so as not to lose it, next she took out the vail of agrimony/blue grass salve onto the stiched wound and then wrapped a bandage round his leg covering the wound up, she tucked the end down inside the fold, ok billbob your done you need to get the bandage changed twice aday for 3 days, chores wise no hard lifting and keep the bandage clean and dry if possable

: she watched as he hobbled off knowing he would milk it for all it was worth but she knew the overseerer of the thralls would see through him, laughing she cleared away the dirty cloths, she would throw them on the fire when she got back and she made a mentle note to replenish the medi pack she had just used, she walked back to the commissary area and set the pack back where she had got it from before throwing the bloody cloths into the fire, she washed her hands and went over to the temp medical office to fill in the log book

did a health check on a incoming kajira, her name at the moment is miss... she is in good health, her teeth are in perfect condition as well... I also administered slave wine to her tonight...

Last night, Martin of Turia came in unconcious atop his tharlarion.  He had come under apparent wild sleen attack, and as there were no other healers available to tend to him, I took care of his wounds.  He had claw marks on his face, his side, and his foot had a nasty gash on it, but nothing required stitching.  The wounds were cleaned and honey salve applied to the wounds on his foot and side, both of which were bandaged.  The wounds on his face also had honey salve applied and were left unbandaged.  He also possessed a broken nose, which was set.  He was given willow bark tea for the pain.

A vicious storm kicked up last night, to boot.  Folks were brought to DRAGONSLAIR, where I took up position as triage healer.  ((In the City I was a Healer, so I've experience.))  I hope this was acceptable.

sule slave of Martin was brought in unconscious, with a broken arm, but she regain consciousness when she was brought into Ubar's wagon, she was apparently with her Master when he was attacked by the sleens... she has a concussion, a mild one at that, and her arm has been set, using small sticks to hold the arm straight, and then bandaged... when Taryn was going to take her out to see her Master in the visitor chambers of Ubar's wagon, that is when Boris and I saw the claw marks on her back and thigh, she was brought back, as Taryn went to tell Martin about his slave, and bring him in to see her, this way both of them could be kept an eye on during the night... ~winks~ stitches were needed for both wounds, I did make them small so they wouldn't leave a scar when they fully healed, as I know markings on a slave that are not necessary or by the order of her Master lowers the price on such a beauty... sule and Martin are both resting in the Ubar's medical chambers until such time as the hail and wind storm passes over, then they will be moved to the temporary medical wagon for the next two days, to keep an eye on their wounds...

sule is on an IV, was given lavenia to calm her and keep her out of pain, I made this decision due to her wounds and when she started to fall asleep she would wake up screaming and I was afraid she would jar it and cause me to have to reset it or worse have to do surgery to reset her arm that way... the IV may come out tomorrow if she is able to drink broth, and then have willow bark tea for pain, from there a decision can be made to give her some sleeping powder to insure she sleeps without dreams until she can rest on her own without nightmares...

This is written for Taryn, she was out on the Plains with her three Outrider guards to camp, she went hunting for food, as she only brought the basics, when she came upon a sleen burrow in the end it was a family of sleens, the newborns stayed inside the burrow while mom and dad came out to defend them, Taryn was able to get an arrow into the spot right between the eyes of the male, but missed two times afterwards, Gavin came in and ripped him to shreds, as the female came out and went after Taryn, by this time the guards aware that something was amiss, came riding out and over to where she was, by the time they got there, the female was on top of Taryn, who had already sustained a wound from her right shoulder down to her elbow, and she was able to gut the female with her quiva, as she got her knees up to push the sleen off of her, the female reached out her hind claw and sank a claw into her chest and as she was pushed off her, with help from the guards, the claw stayed in her flesh and ripped it open to her left side...

Taryn healed herself inside her wagon with the help of george, mostly it was george who did the healing, placing 51 stitches from her right shoulder down to her elbow, inside were less, as he was afraid of having it leave a scar, and on her chest to her left side, there were 49 stitches, internal and external... she was up and moving to the main fire to talk to Ubar to explain what happened, she as of this point in time doesn't have anymore guards, except for the newly scarred Outrider who refuses to leave her side or sight until she is fully healed...

Taryn is in Ubar's wagon, still helping to heal those who came in from the hail. rain and wind storm that came through camp from the plains, and I am watching to make sure she doesn't really overdo it, as we all know that she won't stop until she drops, and Boris and I are keeping an eye on her, when she drops is when we will get her fully looked over, as I am sure she ripped and popped a few stitches while she was working last night...

Last night during the storm, rett came into Ubar's wagon with a shard of wood in his side. I tried to keep the shard from moving as a Healer came in and performed a makeshift surgery to remove it. stitched up the wound, and administered antibiotics via the IV. rett rests until he can be seen a Head Healer

as Frank, the Iron Worker got tangled up in the sleen cages and let out a scream, Taryn forgetting about her own injuries ran from Ubar's wagon to the injuried, in the process, all the stitches in her chest ripped or tore open... Shoko got to her first and removed the stitches she could while she waited for a stretcher to be brought to her to take Taryn to the surgical wagon... Once inside, Leticia took over, with Shoko assisting, after some black pepper to stop the bleeding, it was tedious to remove the remaining stitches, but she was able to get everything, and restitched it up inside, outside took awhile longer, as it took two people to do so, the flesh was very jagged and torn... Shoko left earlier when the blood and guts got to her too much...

Taryn is still in the surgical wagon, under the watchful eye of both Leticia and Boris... she is on an IV with antibotics being added to help curb anything that might want to sneak in, she was also given valerian to help with the pain... She is down for at least a hand..
