Nex has started to run a fever, as I am not sure if it's from the valerian or not, I did take the precaution of giving her some arro by way of tincture... (NPC'd having Muse get it for me) RAGNAR and I are sponging her down with water being brought from the cold springs to help cool her down a bit...

Nex's fever sems to have broken but she should be watched carefully during the night

Casius wound has been festering badly...I drained it, flushed it out and packed it with herb soaked rence to draw out any remaining infection....valarian given for pain.....the packing should be changed every few hours for the time being until the fever breaks and there is no more infection...continue IV and valarian as needed

Amber and I remain with him throughout the night

After having a shouting match with Cassius' commander I was called back into the medwagon because Cassius' wound had begun bleeding again.  When I removed the bandage and poultice to see where the bleeding was coming from more pus gushed forth.  Upon further inspection there was a piece of bosk hide and hair lodged near a muscle in Cassius back that had festered.  It was removed and the wound was cleaned and flushed again.  Another poultice was placed and covered with a bandage.  I remain at his side keeping careful eye on him.

This is a late entry, with the heat and other things going on, I completely forgot to log this into the log... Shoko had removed a barbed arrow from Virtue's, a guest of Tuchuk, shoulder... When I went to check on it the next day, it was oozing pus, as an infection had set in, I removed the sutures and drained all the pus I could from the wound, I then packed it with poultice and covered it, telling Virtue to have it checked twice a day to change the packing...

I removed the sutures from Nexhias leg last night, the wound is healing nicely, as is the broken bones... though the splint won't be removed for another few days, if not for another hand... she now doesn't have to worry about scratching the stitches anymore... I have warned her that the wound will tend to itch a bit more as it heals in this state, due to the heat, as it's mostly from the moisture as she sweats... She said she is now considering asking NightStorm for MSR's nard scratcher to help with that little problem... ~snickers~

Treated Hirodel for a barbed arrow wound to the shoulder, and sword slashes to the back of his thighs.  He isn't to ride for three days, which shouldn't be a problem since we are already at the point.

Before the start of yesterday's journey, I removed the splints from Nex's arm and placed it in a sling.  She may begin physical therapy to strengthen the arm, but should stop at the first sign of pain. ...As soon as she has gained sufficient strength in that arm, she is to be issued crutches so she can be a bit more mobile.

Outriders coming in after only a few ahn out on patrol after dinnertime were brought to the medical wagon for heat exhaustion and heat stroke... I was able to get most of them cooled down with sheets soaked in water and rep cloths to their wrists and draped around their necks... Most are now off the IVs and drinking the tea and water... Though now, even that is being limited as the water supply has diminished greatly to the point we will be out by the end of the night...

Hirodel came to the medical wagon after being tossed from his kaiila, seems he hasn't seen a healer after having his shoulder wound from the skirmish with the Kataii raider, in which he had a barbed arrow... Also he popped the stitches and let it heal, luckily I was able to stave off any infection that was trying to find it's way into it, as there was redness around the scab, though I did remove the remaining stitches, and added green powder, then agrimony salve to it... Told him that he's off duty for the next three days, and until Muse, Kelsey, Amber or myself clear him, he's not to ride with his Or...

As soon as he was released to go back to his wagon, I got a report from Tomar, that he was seen riding out to his men to do patrol, after telling me that he would abide by my orders... I am thinking I should have kept him at the med wagon to keep a closer eye on him, though Tomar did say he would bring him back and put him in the medical wagon when he caught up with him...

Sidona found herself with a barbed arrow to her left shoulder, after setting her up to an IV and gave her a small dose of valerian, as she was seeing spots, leading me to believe she was starting to get the effects of shock, which is why I started the IV, the valerian is self-explaintory... I removed the arrow, packed it with the herbal packing, and bandaged it up, a sling was also made so she could move about and not jar it too much while driving her wagon... She is currently asleep on the med wagon porch, as are the other injuried as inside the wagon is way too hot, and only those with major wounds were brought inside to be dealt with...

Amber was brought to the med wagon by RAGNAR... she has two deep slashes to her back, but not deep enough for stitches, they have been cleaned and honey coating them along with green powder to stave off any infection, she is resting comfortably on the med wagon porch, behind a curtain as I had to remove her shirt to get to her back, she is covered by a fur to cover her upper body, and has been moved onto her side for a bit more comfort.

Ubar is on an IV, as he hasn't been able to eat much, and the water and tea he's been able to keep down most of the time, but there are times when that won't even stay down.. I have him on that IV for the night, and it will be removed by morning... I want to get as much nutrients back into his system before he goes back out on patrol again tomorrow, he is sleeping next to his daughter.

I check Hirodel's shoulder tonight and as he has already been riding and fighting and done little to no damage to the healing wound I have allowed him to return to duty. The wound is almost healed.

I also have ordered all botas of the "tea" Tayrn has been distributed to be reutrned tothe med waogn or disposed of...No one is to drink any more of it.

I also ordered a special concoction to be given to Ubar. Amber will mix it up and Nexi will make sure He drinks it.

Before passing out (owies) I made up the concotion as Muse described it and gave it to Nex, saw Poppa take at least one sip and them immediately double over with stomach cramping.  That's the last I saw before my typist just waffle faced.

Because of severe dehydration, Ubar has been in the medwagon for two days.  Taryn i.v.ed him the other night and he has been that way until tonight.  He woke up and seems to be greatly improved.  He was able to keep water down, so I removed the i.v. and told him to take it easy (which you know he won't..but the sentiment was there).

Commander Teku suffered a broken leg before the wagons moved out.  Amber and I set it and he made the last leg of the journey in the sling we had set up for Nexhias.  He is to be given valerian for pain and will convalesce on the med wagon porch due to the heat.  No restrictions on diet at thsi time.
