Treated Ubar today-

-after the drama with the healer apprentice-

-cleaned Ubars nore tubes and replaced them.

-changed both the regular IV bag and the antibiotics one.

-opened Ubars wound to treat the internal bleeding, veins were sutured, and sutured more after a spurter. a little black pepper was used to stop the bleeding and then green pepper applied to the wound, the wound was then sewed up, salved and bandaged...

--on another note--

I will be taking up Natalias spot on the rotation as commanded to by Raz... with extra duties in the Surgical wagon

-Logged by Brunhilda (NPC)-

Natalia (NPC) is no longer.

After a physical attack on the unconcious Ubar, Ubara snapped her neck.

Cause of death: transected spinal cord.

*Scratches my head*

Well, never did like Natalia.  She sounded foreign to me.

Checked on Ubar tonight during my shift.

Nasal tubes were taken out, his breathing was still too labored through his mouth, so I cleaned them and put them back in.  The swelling of his lips has gone down, and the swelling around his nose and eyes has begun to drain down his throat along with some blood from nasal trauma, I've rectified the coughing that this causes by giving him water every hour or so at a very slow trickle to keep his throat moist.

I also had a healer give him a catheter, since he hasn't had one this entire time, it's any wonder he hasn't pissed himself and his cot.  And since it would be weird for me to cath him, I had someone else do it.

I also checked his incision site, all seems well, there is no bloating or swelling from internal bleeding, and the site looks good, no infection present.  He is still on antibiotics and saline for hydration through i.v.

He hasn't woken up yet that I can completely tell.  He did squeeze my hand a few times, but since his eyes won't open due to the swelling, it's hard to be sure.  I've also begun to apply cold wet compresses to his eyes to aid the swelling going down.  Will be with him until dawn when I'm relieved from my watch by Shoko.

-removed the splint from Liliac's leg.

-advice given was to take it easy on the leg and not to return to normal duties for a few more days

-she may need Physcial Therapy, but I am unsure on the matter, I told her to ask one of the Healers.

Relieved Shoko on duty in the Medwagon.

Checked on Poppa.  Removed the nasal breathing tubes, his breathing without them is normal enough so that he doesn't need them anymore.

Checked the swelling of his face, it seems to be going down, and flushed his eyes free of dust and debris that was also overlooked the last couple of days with saline solution from an unneedled syringe.

His stitches look fine, and no infection has settled in.

He is still cathed, and still on saline and antibiotics via i.v.

He woke up briefly tonight, and even said a few words.  Water should be kept being given to him every hour or so to keep his mouth and throat hydrated as fluids continue to drain from his swelling to prevent coughing and hurting himself from doing such.

Poppa was fully awake last night.  Even sat himself up.  His was complaining that his legs and arms felt tingly, Raziel noted that he had a stinger kinda of back injury.  It will get better with time.  He even stood up for a little bit before sitting back down.  I wrapped his torso with a bandage for support for his stomach so sitting up and standing up won't put too much pressure on his wound.  His eyes are looking better, he can even crack his left one open just a hair, but the light is too bright normally so the lamps need to remain dim since his eyes have been closed for so long.

Last night I rechecked NightStorms sleen bite and added some blue grass salve to help numb the pain and rewrapped the bandage.

tended Ubar today-

-cleaned off his face and neck
-checked the surgery wound
-rebandaged and rewrapped his torso
-gave him some hot vulo broth

--the swelling in his eyes is down, so much so that he can open both of his eyes, they are still sensitve to the light however.

--there is a definate loss of motor movements, sipping broth proved difficult.

Removed the old sutures from Poppas left hand from Lil's kailla accident.

His eyes aren't puffy anymore, just that pretty purple color of bruises are left.

He's able to walk short distances with walking sticks.

Though he broke his cot, and I didn't get him up off of the broken cot and floor before I had to get to bed (I think he fell asleep).  He's grouchy because his limbs won't stop tingling and seem weak compared to what they were before he injured himself, but I reassured him, that within a few days, he'll be better.
