kiah- passed out/ collapsed tonight at the fires, it seemed that the close proxmity of the fires and her lack of drinking enough water.

Terran treated her, I simply hung around just in case... but it was a simple case of heat exhaustion, she was taken to the med wagon where Terran proceeded to hook her up with an IV, she was left with a bota of water and a cool damp cloth was laid over her forehead and eyes to help with any headache she would wake up with.

she is to be released in the morning, as long as she can eat and drink water under her own power.

Cina was seen by me tonight.  She hads a cold.  She has been given herbs for vapor treatments and feverfew to make an infusion to drink every 6-8 hours.  Instructions were written out and given to her.

Saw Shy last night.  Tended her arm, draining an infection and restitching.  she has multiple bruises .  (I had to go so Mal and Shy were supposed to finish up)

Her body will heal, I m more concerned with her emotional state.

After a practice session gone wrong with a quiva, I found myself with a slice across my lower left leg, I have cleaned, and stitched the wound... I will have either Kelsey or Shoko take a look at it when I see them next, to have them check it over to make sure everything is okay... I did small stitches in hopes of having a very small scar to not show after the time of the full healing to remind me of my slight stupidity while practicing... the location of the wound is about a hand's length from my ankle on the inside...

Tornado hit camp last night... Triage has been set up in the commissary area, well just outside of it since the medical freight wagon caught fire and by the time anyone could get to it, it was a lost cause... So anything we had in there for inventory is gone, all we have left is what is in our healer bags, or med kits around camp, and supplies that are in the medical wagon itself... the Medical Wagon has been moved out of the way during the fire...

Injuries are as follows...

Serinna - head wound, Czar ran into her and knocked her backwards into something inside her wagon, and after she fell, something crashed down on her... She was unconscious for a good amount of time and was confused upon regaining consciousness... She was given an IV, as she was unconscious, but as I was working on setting it up, she woke up... She has a nice size knot on the left side of her head, with a cut in the middle of it... I cleaned it out with water, then antiseptic, then numbed it as I thought she would need stitches, ends up she didn't, so I added green powder and agrimony salve, then bandaged it... alexis, will stay with her through the night, waking her up every 30 ehn to check her vitals and status...

Czar - Stepped on a board with 6 rusted nails, it went through his boot into his foot and to the bone, he was seen by a NPC healer, after the board was removed at some point before he got to the triage area, his boot was removed to reveal that his foot was extremely swollen from him walking on it to help bring the animals that broke through their pens... The 6 puncture wounds have been cleaned out, and packed with herbs for the night as well as sprinkled with green powder... He's been told to stay off the foot for at least 3 days, no walking on it period... The packing should be replaced in a few ahn, and if the swelling is still bad, to have a more experienced healer check to see if any other damage has been done when the board was pulled out earlier...

amanda - burned both of her hands when she went to pull the panels of the medical freight wagon roof off... they were bandaged after being checked over by myself, they are first and second degree burns, but mostly first.. She was given the chore of marking the wounded coming in with either a black (stable) or red (critical) marker... After all the wounded were brought in, her chore changed to bringing furs to the wounded, as well as getting hot tea to those who were conscious and able to drink, to help keep the chill off, as the temperature dropped dramatically after the tornado came through...

Taryn Iona - a good size knot on the left side of her head caused by a helmet that flew across the camp and found her under the medical wagon after she took off to try and stop the fire at the medical freight wagon, she headed there when the arrows started to fall from the sky... She was unconscious for 10 to 15 ehn, was dizzy and nauseous, and did vomit shortly after regaining consciousness... Sidona was able to get a bandage around her head as it was bleeding, but no one has checked on her since, as she has been tending to the wounded... She has been drinking water when she can, and has only vomited once more since the first time, after she claims she stood up too quickly...

There are many injuries from collapsed lungs to broken bones abound.. Healers and Surgeons are working non-stop through the night to try and save those of Tuchuk, but as the night goes on, the dead are being brought in to be cleaned and then claimed..

A side note to all healers and healing slaves, boots should be used at all times as there is glass and debris all over the immediate area around the triage area, until the sun rises in the morning, there is no way to really clean the camp up until such time... Even with boots on, caution is urged as there are many boards splintered from wagons that exploded from the tornado, and there are some really long nails in those boards...

Last night Cina was brought into the medical wagon by Malefic, she woke up bleeding and having cramps... Mal checked her out before she was brought to the medical wagon to see if she might be miscarrying, and it was found that she wasn't... Cina has been told to take the night and following day to rest... It has also been determined that she is 2 months pregnant and is under watch to make sure the bleeding doesn't pick up...

(Note: will add more when I talk to Cina again to write down what happened, she told me last night, but I forgot)

released Cina from the medical wagon this afternoon... Have given her instructions of taking it easy for the next hand or two, and if any problems develop to see a healer or field medic in the case there is no healer available... ~signs off and goes back to work~

-Last night-

Tended to serienna, she was unbalanced, had a massive headache and was super thirsty.

My conslusion was that she was dehydrated since she had spent the time in the med wagon mostly sleeping... She was given some honey tea to help soothe her dry throat with just a bit of willowbark to take the edge off of the headache, then overnight she was given an iv to help rehydrate...

Come morning she is to be released under strict orders to keep hydrated and return to the med wagon if she feels light headed. Or dizzy.

finally got to see how amanda's hands where doing, the blisters had disappeared, and she hadn't seen a healer since the night of the tornado as she didn't think she was important enough to be seen to, I did speak to her about such, and since her hands were no worse for wear, I removed the bandages and sent her on her way to full duty once more...

Leticia gave birth to a boy early this morning, the birth was seen to by myself, mother and baby are doing just fine, Boris on the other hand is doing well after passing out when his son came into this world... They are in the inner circle medical wagon as Leticia was helping out where she could as she knew she was close to delivering her baby, and was in the right place when it happened... ~smiles~

Sidona - fractured leg, right above the ankle... bones were set and bandaged, mud laid over the first layer of bandage, then splinted and bandage placed over the splints to keep the bones in place, willow bark given for pain...

Sarant - deep wound on her left ankle caused by an arrow.. she was brought to the medical wagon by george after rescuing me after my mount lost his footing and tossed me from the saddle... and IV was started as she lost a good amount of blood, the wound was cleaned out, then stitched, bandaged after having agrimony salve applied to the stitched wound..

A Warrior - brought in after being brought through the river after being nearly squished between a wagon and his mount, his kaiila apparently lost his footing on the river bed, and he slid toward a wagon, the kaiila going with him, he suffered three broken ribs, causing his right lung to collapse, a chest tube has been inserted, along with an IV, no pain medication was given as he had a suspected head injury.

Amber and Kelsey are working the surgical wagon, Shoko, Taryn and Leticia are tending to the wounded still coming in from the river crossing, Boris is helping to triage the injured that are still coming in sending them off to either the medical or surgical wagons...

-=Healer Report=-

-=Leticia=-

Last night Cassius was given a small dose of valerian as the ride inside the medical wagon got a bit rough, and with the jerking and jarring I thought it a good idea to make the ride a bit more comfortable...

Sarant came into the med wagon after Cassius called for her ~wiggles finger in ear as I can still hear the shout ringing in my left ear~ when she came in and propped her foot up onto the cot, Cassius noted that her foot smelled worse than having been in a boot for a prolonged period of time, as I leaned over to take a sniff, to see if he was joking, I pulled back as I realized he was being gentlemanly in his assessment... I removed the bandage, which was soiled with blood and clear pus, when I removed the stitches, the packet of infection was opened and began to drain, I was able to clear out all of the pus, and have placed a pack into the wound, a dressing was laid over the wound and her ankle rewrapped.... Over the course of the night, I kept an eye on her to make sure the infection hasn't gotten any deeper, Sarant hasn't developed a fever, and I am hoping that it stays that way...

Also received word that Taryn has been relieved of duty for her shift today, and has been ordered to get some sleep, I did see her earlier this morning going from wagon to wagon, helping do minor repairs, and from what I could tell she still hasn't gotten much sleep, if any, but Boris and I will keep an eye on her

I will also get with the other healers to see about the inventory of medical supplies...

Cassius and Boris both were taken to the surgical wagon to have their wounds tended to by either Kelsey or Amber, last report I got was the Cassius had come through the surgery well, he had an arrow to the belly... Boris was in more serious condition, he had three arrows removed, one from his upper thigh, which barely missed the femoral artery, another one from his lower left chest/abdomen damaging his diaphram, nicking his left lung as well, and the last one was in his right shoulder, lodging in his collar bone... Both of them are on IV's with doses of valerian to keep them in comfort, as well as antibotics have been given through the IV...

Taryn is restless after waking up after passing out from exhaustion and pain... She has stitches in her right palm down to her wrist from what I am to understand was from her own quiva, her pelvis is severely bruised, but I was not able to find out if it might be cracked or not with her not able to withstand touch to the area, and swelling, her left arm was bleeding badly by the time a healer got to her, she pulled the quiva out during the fight, pepper was used to stop the bleeding, and then cleaned, stitched inside and out, she is also hooked up to an IV, with a round of antibotics and has been given valerian to help keep her pain levels down and this in turn is causing her to sleep, though even then it's been restless, and this morning she woke up screaming, in a cold sweat as well, she claims she doesn't remember what caused this reaction and hasn't said much since...

Sarant was tended to, as she had a quiva slice to her left shoulder, leaving a 5 inch gash, this was cleaned, sutured and bandaged... Her ankle wound was tended to as it was opened more than it was, it has been cleaned, more packing has been put in place to try and draw out any infection that had tried to set in before, and bandaged... She has been told she is to stay in the medical wagon until another healer can come to check on her ankle and see if more packing is needed or not...

The medical and surgical wagon is starting to settle down into their routine again, also a wagon has been set aside to clean and allow family to claim them...

I checked on Taryn last evening and again this morning, she was in the process of getting her wagon settled and things unpacked... Though she did promise me that she would sleep last night, and when I checked on her this morning, right about the time of the sun rise, she was up and about, but I did get a report from Tanna that her mother did get 2 ahns of sleep before she was back up and going strong... I also was able to get her to let me check her wound on her right hand and wrist from the quiva slice the night of the Kataii attack... It was infected, but she has been taking care of it, packing it with herbs to draw out the infection and it's looking well, no more signs of redness and it is of normal skin temperature... I have also been granted to be the one to tend to the wound until I deem it fully healed...
