Tonight while trying to carry/roll/lift/put away Ubars sheild familure managed to get smooshed by it.

She suffered a concussion, a fractured rib and some internal swelling/brusing

the concussion is a moderate one, shes got a bit of a lump on the back of her head and was over heard speaking in english and asking who was on what base.

the rib was set easily enought, and a moss paste was applied to help with any swelling there may be.

the internal swelling/brusing should have been a very mild case but was made worse by the fact that I moved lure before checking over her fully, the swelling was treated with mud packs that will be checked often,

she is to be checked over frequently and a slave is set to stay with her making sure to keep her talking and awake.

Checked lure over.  She wasn't having any problems seeing, and as far as she knew, was not suffering from nausea.  She was given willowbark tea with honey and vulo broth to drink and eat, and then told to get a healing slave to help her with a bath since the moss paste reeks like hell.  Her rib hasn't shifted over night, her ribs were wrapped to help keep it in place and she was released to the porch for tonight, returning to light duty tomorrow.

Saw to Terran tonight as well.  He hasn't been sleeping and stress has caused headaches that the willowbark is no longer touching.  Gave him a vial of sleeping powder and one of ginseng to relax and get some solid sleep.  Told him that this will not be a habit, that he needs to figure out a way to relax on his own without the use of medications and herbs.

Shoko....The Ubar still requires your update on lure as you never returned to make that update.

Healers...I need one available to check on kiah's sunburn during the day.

A followup is wanted on Terran, per his Commander...Me.

For Shoko...

You may not be able to check the status of lure in the med wagon as she is not there anymore.  As the Ubar did not recieve his update as he requested, he simply took matters into his own hands and moved lure, cot and all, from the med wagon to his porch.

lure was checked over by me and released to light duty.  She is to seek me out in two days for a re-check and her physical.  If she gets any headaches or trouble with her vision she is to seek out a healer immediately.

Saw to a follow up with Terran this evening.  His pulse rate was normal, so was dilation of his pupils when exposed to a light source (though a bit slower than the "normal" reaction).  He is still holding a lot of tension in his shoulders and probably his neck.  It was suggested he get a massage to help lower the risk of tension headaches.  He also told me sometimes when his pulse rises too high he gets a headache that fades shortly after his pulse rate lowers (like when he is doing his daily runs).  He assures me he has just been thinking too much, but we shall see.

-=Last night=-

kiah has been brought to the medical wagon to tend to the sunburn as well as the blisters that formed due to the more sensitive skin areas not normally exposed to prolonged exposure to the sun.. Earlier I had coated her skin with bosk butter, but that was removed, as well as the dirt, and other stuff that had gathered on her legs and feet, during her time shackled to the wagon wheel... She is now cleaner than she was before, and getting cool compresses to help with the burning of the sunburn, the blistered areas were carefully cleaned as well as possible without breaking the blisters, and then covered with loose bandages...

she should be released from the medical wagon this night

Question about kiah's treatment - was she checked for dehydration?  I would think after 3 days she would be a bit dehydrated and should have been put on an IV.

kadi gave her water and gruel on the second day.

dil gave her water and gruel on the third day.

If she is dehydrated then she can drink water as it is given to her.  If it does not affect her permanently, I do not care over a mouthy slave.  Taryn only treated her as I told her too.  Anything else, kiah must simply deal with.

Taryn - kiah would have a combination of frist and second degree burns.  Bandage her blistered parts loosely and send her back to full duty.

Sent kiah back to full duty releasing her from the medwagon.

Gave Sidona her physical tonight. (Better late than never).  Everything is all normal with Sid.

Was beckoned to Taryn who admitted she had a pounding headache that hadn't gone away in a hand.  She told me she had tried everything she could think of to get rid of it.  Dark places, willowbark, feverfew, cold compresses, tea... but nothing had worked.  I gave her some valerian and she went to sleep shortly afterwards.  I did tell her that if her head hurts so bad, to stop studying until it stops hurting, otherwise she will just strain her eyes and make her head hurt worse in the end.

gave Sarant some lotion and advised her to massage the scar on her leg so it doesn't adhere to the muscle tissue (which it is starting to do)

I forgot to add this into the logs but here it is...

I gave amorette her physical the other night [wed night I believe] she is perfectly healthy, her breathing and heart rate is normal and all in all she seems in very tip top shape, I recommended some extra excersize for her during the day due to the fact that as a cook she tends to sample alot of different items over the course of the day and since her body is not accustomed to that the extra excersize should keep her from adding on any pounds.

Amorette will need blood work in the near future to find out if she will need the serum shots or not.
