Treated a warrior with a bruised sternum, and a concussion,

his brusing was treated with liniment, but he is being observed incase he has any breathing troubles that arise from the swelling.

his speaking and minor motor functions were checked, and he seems a bit disgruntled and tired, but other then that he is not seeing any other side effects of his concussion, he has not however requested pain medication.

-= Report by Taryn Iona =-

A warrior was brought into the medical wagon for injuries sustained in a fight with Ragnar this evening. He sustained a right clavicle fracture, as there was a great deal of swelling and not feeling the bone ends, I placed his arm in a sling with orders to wear it during the ahns he is awake and if comfortable, while he sleeps for the next few days.

His nose was broken, but has been reset and splinted as well as can be. I also made enclosed cool mud packs to help with the swelling of his nose and eyes caused by both the broken nose and black eye, the I had originally believed was a fracture of his orbital bone, but as the swelling from his broken nose made it hard to determine, I will be checking on it again tomorrow when it reduces. The same goes for his clavicle fracture.

He was given willow bark tea for pain medication, but when he tried to sleep he came to find the pain a bit more unbearable and did ask for valerian. As I was on duty last night, I gave him the medication and changed out his cool mud pack for another as I noted that the swelling had begun to reduce a little bit, but the colors of his various bruises were just beginning to show their true colors.

Tended to Son of Yule tonight-

he got into a minor scuffle with Dochin and suffered a broken nose.

his nose was reset and packed with Gauze.

Two of the other young Warriors were hit with Arrows by Suhe, one sustained an arrow to the foot, and the other took an arrow right above his knee, Taryn and Gheeta took care of the other young men, removing the arrow heads and stitching up the sounds, each of them have been bandaged and taken from duty.

Cleaned and stitched a puncture wound to Dochin's side from where Son of Yules quiva tip entered his flesh.

Also talked with him about he and His becoming the Healer's Own, a group of 15 Warriors who would be on guard duty at the medwagon at all times (in rotation of course) and escort the Healers to the Outer Wagon for their rounds.

The girl in his little family are also invited to become Healer's Apprentices, with the younger children as runners for the Clan.

Released everyone from the med wagon who was inside.  Not everyone was released to duty though.  Those in slings or splints or on crutches were told no duty.  Those with stitches were returned to light duty (except for the Young Man whose eye I had to remove and the Warrior with the scalp laceration).

Found a wailing baby on the medwagon porch tonight.  She had obviously been well take care of until that point, and I believe she was being taken care of by other children - until they couldn't handle the lack of eating and crying any longer.

I cleaned her up, rubbed her back to try and get her to burp.  Nothing.  Her belly was distended and hard, so I gave her a low dose of brak bush in case she was constipated.

It did the trick.  She relieved herself all over the Ubara and Sidona before she was finished.

Sidona and Salem are adopting the child.

Treated a young daughter tonight-

she had stepped on a nail and had it go through her boot into her foot.

the wound was red and had flakes of metal around it from the nail so I cleaned the surrounding area thoroughly and flushed out the puncture before treating the area with Honey salve and then wrapping it, added a bit of gauze to cushion the area seeing as she will be walking on it.

advised her to make sure her wound gets some air and the chance to dry and heal properly so shes been asked to make sure she sleeps with her boots off.

saw to the young daughter again tonight-

she properly handled her wound, letting it air out and heal, and didn't walk on it getting it dirty.

since it is mostly healed, it was cleaned, layered with honey as a precaution and then wrapped once again.

shes been given the go ahead to wear her new boots.

Yesterday I went through the folders we created on the Young Daughters - Please see my posting outside of the medwagon door for the results

Tonight I checked on Raziel's Weapons Master Scars - After a round of needles to the already angry slashes, his skin was swollen around the scars and the flesh was hot to the touch.  This is normal around such aggravated wounds.  I didn't see any pus or smell any infection, and I also tested him for fever.  I refrained from pinching his cheeks since Ubar picked him up by them last night and I figure that's enough Scar abuse for a few days.  I will of course check on his scars tomorrow after a new round with the needles.

Tended to a barbed arrow that had lodged itself into Cassius' upper arm.  Cut it out and then stitched it back up from the inside out.

Treated Masukai for food poisoning. Seems he ate some raw fish that had sat out in the heat for quite some time.  After he pretty much hoarked his entire lower intestine out, I got him to the medchamber and put him on i.v. antibiotics and fluids.  Zingiber tea can be used to control the nausea, but I don't think he will be able to stomach it.

Also preformed surgery on a young Man who had fallen down the steps with his lance in hand and ended up hooked on his own lance hook.  The hook had pierced his heart.   We cracked open his ribcage and sutured the hole in his heart shut with dissolvable bosk gut, wired his rib cage shut and then sewed him back up. He also received blood from Gheeta and is being kept on careful watch for shock.  He is currently unconscious due to tassa powder, and is on antibiotics and i.v. fluids for right now.

Treated two of Terrans Outriders today-

one has a moderate concussion and severe bruising of the diaphragm area, his stomach was treated with liniment, and he was given some willow bark for the headache that accompanied.

the second had a massive bruise right about the size of a fist right on his forehead, he was given willowbark for the pain as apparently his hard head kept him from being injured futher.

Also-

tended to the young Lad Amber and Gheeta performed surgery on last night, he had no pulse and was not breathing when Cassuis called us over, we performed chest compressions and forced air into the Lad's lungs, but after several rounds finally Cassius had to step in and strike the child hard enough to get his heart restarted.

for now he is stable, he is breathing under his own power and his pulse is steady. Gheeta is staying with him for now periodically checking his breathing and his pulse.

-as reported by Simone-

Masukai is resting comfortably and is still on his i.v. fluids to help replenish those he had lost while hoarking.  He is no longer hoarking and is receiving willow bark for his muscle aches and pains.  He is just exhausted now and is going nowhere fast.  He can begin to eat when he feels like he can keep it down.
