Vacation
« on: December 25, 2005, 10:20:15 PM »
heh, I shoulda mentioned before now, but from the 28th until the 1st, I won't be online.  Am heading to Illinois for my best friends wedding (first time being a Bridesmaid, I'm so excited).  While we're there we'll also be spending new years eve with my in-laws (Terran's parents) and doing the normal rough housing, drinking, and stuff we can manage before returning to our once again hermetic lives sitting at home playing around on the computer, playing video games..or working (blech).  Each time we go to Illinois we're reminded of how much we hate living in Des Moines away from our family and friends, so please, bare with the two of us as we get over being depressed as hell at having to come back to this crappy city.

Thank you,

Amber

Mistress,

Not tryin' to intrude... but is there any special reason why you can't move back to Des Moines, where your heart is? ~soft hug~  I had to move heaven and earth to come back home to Delaware to assist my ailing grandparents, and there is such peace in that.

I am very excited for your first-ever bridesmaid gig! *beaming*  I know they say "always a bridesmaid, never a bride," but you and I skipped right to the married schtick... I've never been a second-in-command, either. *pout*

Say, does that mean you get to stand behind your cousin with a big sword to make sure no one interferes? Hehehehehe...

It's a long story, dee, but it goes something like this

We have a roommate.  If we move out, he has no way to pay the bills for this place or the rent for this place.  He has nowhere else to go, he will be homeless, living on the streets.  Terran and I...are nice people, we can't do that to him, no matter how much we want to go and live in Illinois to be with family and friends.  We just can't. -shrugs- we'll figure out a way eventually to move back.

As for the wedding, naw, no one can interfere..they eloped back in September, so no matter what, they are already married.  Though...I maybe should pack a baseball bat/shotgun/short sword just in case! -lol-

So... uh... take your roomie with you!  It can be HIS job to pack while you and hubby continue to work through your move date.  Your family can find you a suitable house or apartment, and you can send them the security deposit which they will then hand to your new landlord.  Then roomie can find a job in Illinois, start his life over, and be self-sufficient.  Sometimes moving opens up thriving job markets and wonderful new possibilities!

Not that it'll actually BE that easy... but I know your family would help out in whatever way possible if it meant having you two back home... *hugs*

Family = willing to help us.
Family = unwilling to help roommate who has dicked us over since April.

-snickers- besides..I dun wanna live with him forever either, and if we move HIM to Illinois as well, the same obligated feeling will still be there. -sighs- Maybe one day we'll stop being the doormats we tend to be for friends..and just up and move without a word.

~ponders the good will and loving heart of my Mistress for a moment~.....ummmm...not to be too bold, but why not just let it be known at the end of the lease...the roomate is on his own....that should give him time to get his stuff together. granted he may just think that you are bluffing...and not do anything. but there is only so much You and Your Husband can do to help a friend before it is just being taken advantage of.

anyways...try to squeeze some relaxation in while the Two of You are gone~g~and be safe

~leaves tons and tons of snuggle hugs~
Your butterfly

p.s.
and if all else fails~grins~...woobie does have a wood chipper Mistress~cracks up and scrams~

so smother or strangulation would make luminol pretty much useless....no blood evidence....

*tosses the chalk and walks away*
