We Frees are not permitted to simply punish any slave in Camp, We are to cage them if need be and refer the matter to their Owners or Camp trainers. Which, if you think about it, is really better all the way around. What Free would want to walk into Camp one night and find Their slave there with, say, whip welts that their Owner did not place there? And what slave would wish to have to explain such a thing to her Master/Mistress? This rule, about which Ubar was very clear in a previous thread, protects everyone involved.
