My opinion is probably going to be even less popular...
Sure, the post might have been better placed on the IC board, since it concerns the departure of a Gorean character from our home. However, an event such as this one does tend to call into question the RT values of the person behind the screen. Master Ubar Papa's account does seem to suggest a certain measure of cowardice and a certain lack of true slave submission.
At this juncture in the post, some might point out that the collared one was no more than a fabricated fantasy consisting of a pretty avatar and meaningless words on a computer screen. All well and good -- my goal is not to dredge up the role-play vs. soul-play vs. lifestyle debate. However, if the personna represented no more than a game of words, why not see the character through to the end rather than half-ass her way out of the room? Those who wish to treat Gor as a game should play the game to its conclusion, yes? Failure to do so can only be attributed to one's failure as a person, in my opinion. Those who cannot accept responsibility for their own actions, even those of a mere role-play character, are, at best, fickle; at worst, cowards; and in general, failures.
