There is a cyclone heading my way and due to hit in the early hours of Monday morning as a Category 4 (http://www.bom.gov.au/info/cyclone/#severity).   

Its Sunday morning here and am clearing the yard of things that may fly and getting ready.

I'm in the orange part, near the coast and in line according to the prediction map.

Well I am fine, yard is a mess....its full of trees and branches and leaves  'laughs'   as if I don't have enough to do...and the pool is full of the same....fence is down, big clump of palm trees is leaning on next doors house...

Ended up a category 5 cyclone, far stronger than Katrina that hit the States last year.   Just an hours drive south of me, the town is flattened and hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of crops, bananas and sugarcane are gone and one in 5 houses are gone and the rest are unliveable at the moment. They have no water, electricity and won't have for 5 weeks.   Generators and bottled water and food are on the way plus everything else they will need for now, well that will help them get through the next few weeks.  Its heartbreaking....

And now we are watching the next cyclone that is heading towards the coast.
