All I really care about is the size of the bedroom (have two dressers and a queen sized bed) and the living room (it has to be able to fit two computer desks) other than that.. I don't really care!

Second appointment:

1 bedroom apartment with utilities included in the rent: Fuck if I know.  The guy didn't show up to the appointment.  It's been changed to Monday now...maybe(?) If something doesn't come up and he has to bail on us again.... -.-

Sooooo.  We saw the apartment today.  Wow.  The carpet is ugly (but really squishy..I love squishy carpet, even if it is a bordello red color -which it is-)  The floors are uneven (as in you walk across the floor and your foot hits a pot hole kinda thang -adds to the charm-) The wall papering is ugly, the bedrom is actually kinda small (but who gives a care really?  Not going to spend much time in the bedroom) Unfortunately, the bedroom is right off the kitchen and there's no door -screams- But uhh can put up a curtain or something?  Bathroom is HUGE, living room is HUGE.  All in all.... We're gonna sign the lease next Sunday.

LOL COOL!!!

Ummm.... the squishy carpet.... dips in the floor.... hmmm... better check for bodies laid out under the carpeting belonging to those who dared to peer into the bedroom from the kitchen and seeing the last couple who rented the place. Red carpet can conceal blood pools nicely if they are cleaned before they really set in.

LOL

better find out if mM2 Nightstorm or Mistress Lilac lived there before... that squishyness could be the dead bodies of thralls that pissed them off..

There is nothing quite like your first on-your-own type of place, and it's NEVER perfect.  It will, however, be memorable. -grins- Congrats!

dee..this isn't my first place on my own.  I lived on my own for a whole of.. uhhh 7 months?  Before Beau moved in with me.  Now that..was a shit hole.  Seriously...but...this place...though not newly remodeled (or what passes for remodeled around here) and about 100 years old.  I love it.  Mebbe he'll let us strip off wallpaper and paint the walls..or something.  I can ask of course..and it would be out of pocket expense for us to do so...but you never know.  We could raise the property value of the place just by doing that.  We'll see.  Will know more on Sunday.

Uhhh we dun have a couch...but I went to walmart and looked at prices for those raised up futons.  About 100 dollars for a metal one...and about 170 dollars for a wood one. -boggles at that- such a price difference in that I couldn't believe it.  So we'll prolly go with the metal one just because it IS only temporary and we don't want to spend money on something we're only using temporarily.  So yeah..there will be a place to sleep for any wandering lost Brats who may be stopping by -w-

don't forget to look at thrift stores, some of them can have nice furniture, and the paper, some people move and sell their furniture super cheap.
