after a morning of collecting dung, i was very thankful to run into lure and dee. lure took me for a warm bath, which was much needed, then i joined her for some shopping. i learned a little about the livestock kept by the Tuchuk and avoided being spotted by (NPC) women that i had known as a free woman.

And I ran into tatiana outside the main lodge, where my Master has rented a room, and answered her questions about migration and the kaiila before heading off to the food vending stalls.

As the Tuchuk encampment prepared to move out, I made a mad dash about the areas of commerce.  In some two ahns' time, I procured a gift for my Master at the forge area, bought silks and slave bina to please his eyes, and took a sack of meats and fruits to go. LOL  Then I headed for the livery stable to stow the goods in NYTEMARE's saddle and make ready to leave with the column.

this girl's first night as a slave was spent largely acclimating to her new life- acquiring a kettle girl's sack until more appropriate livery can be found, studying, riding along sider Mistress on Her wagon, and passing Her the water bota. this girl remains somewhat apprehensive about her coming chores as she has never really had to work before.

today, this girl asked many questions of delilah about Tuchuk society and her place in it as a slave. Taking suggestions from delilah, this girl also modified her kettle girl's sack into makeshift slave livery. she still hopes to pick up some pointers on bosk care, so that she can look after her Mistress's livestock when the watering hole is reached. this girl also made a point of walking for several hours today to toughen up her delicate feet.

Today, while riding NYTEMARE at the center of the moving wagon column, I met the slave, elle, and assisted with her learning.  I then left her to modify her slave sack tunic and continued the ride.

tonight i greased the axels on my Master's wagons and checked the lashings on the crates in the wagons, then hid inside the Vintner's freight wagon while we were being circled by tarnsmen

This evening was spent largely in the saddle.  I refilled my bota and allowed NYTEMARE to drink her fill when the column reached the watering hole, but our respite was brief.  With an impending storm seeming likely and reports of fifty landed tarnsmen half a pasang away, I swiftly mounted and made haste with the departing wagons.  I allowed NYTEMARE her head since the lanterns had been extinguished and we were riding in darkness, the column moving as silently as possible.

Then the few drops of rain stopped, the wind died, the quiet wasn't so quiet, and I - er, NYTEMARE - found it expedient to put a screaming thrall out of his misery. -cough- With an air raid seeming imminent and the column halted for wagon maintenance, I tied my mount to Mistress Sahara's porch rail and accepted ducky's offer of loose, nondescript riding clothing to better conceal my gender and make me less of a target for capture.

Thankfully, the precaution was unnecessary!  Tuchuk reinforcements arrived from our main camp, and the tarnsmen found easier pickings with the Turian-bound caravan at our rear.

And somehow, I ended up asleep on ducky's lap. -grins-

i am having an incredibly difficult time adapting to life as a slave. i frequently refer to myself by my birth name, as opposed to my slave name. despite spending some time in study, i still mess up simple things like the greeting. Having grown up wealthy, i have a poor grasp of chores, and of late, i've been blanking out when given specific orders. i was at my lowest, though, tonight, when the caravan was attacked. i sought shelter in one of the freight wagons, releasing a large crate to hide behind it. Unfortunately, once the battle was over, i forgot to resecure the crate or the smaller containers on top of it. When the wagon jerked to a start, those containers toppled over, shattering, and spilling their contents. no one has discovered this yet, but i fear it is only a mater of time...

this girl was most busy tonight. During a stop at the watering hole, this girl refilled all of her Mistress's water bota's, carried several buckets of water to the bosk (though this girl must admit that she was thankful to have several thralls help with this task), and checked the wagon to make sure that all was secure before moving out again; all of this was done in quite the hurry to as inhospitable weather threatened. this girl also helped direct the bosk with a stout stick. Back on the trail, this girl became familiar with lighting and extinguishing the red signal lights.

after rising and going out for a pre-dawn run with Master Terran along the river one last time before setting out on migration, she hurried back to her Mistress' wagons, checking over the bosk. having leo(NPC'd) to bring some more buckets of water, and a bit of grain to the team as she checked the wheels and axles yet again, having an odd feeling in the pit of her stomache something was left undone. finding nothing amiss however, she set out in search of her Mistress...(and had to leave for rt)

this night i set about taking care of my Master's new wagon, cleaning it out, stocking the seat with food water and the first aid kit, overseeing thralls that were taking care of the axels and wheels. i also made sure the other 2 wagons i was responsibe for were ready to go, and i helped my new sister elle.

Today, this girl prepared her Mistress's wagon for migration by checking the bosks and securing the supplies; unfortunately she forgot to grease the axles. this girl also helped ariella prepare Master Arlon's new-old wagon and offered her services to Mistress Johari, but was declined. this girl created tension for herself by not answering her Mistress's summons in a timely fashion. En route to the new camp, this girl learned a little about driving the wagons and rescued a spilled water barrell lid. When the column finally stopped, this girl greased the axles and watered and examined the bosk.
