made an improvement to the water yoke so that it can carry
four buckets.. fetched water for the cookifires and several
other places

decant the whey and cut up the curds.. treated them with salt

using a brick mold..he ground up dried bosk dung and added water and straw
used a scoop to put the paste into the molds.. attempting to make a
type of "fire brick" that will be easier to store for migration and he
hopes will produce better fires


edits to add.. after nightfall he took the bricks out of the mold
if the temp does not get too low maybe they will dry over night

tested the fouth set of the firebricks.. it seems that the third set were the best

raked out the spar pit..gave some thought to a task
that Mistress had set him to.. will sleep on it and
get to work in the morning to start it

So... i've got a question if i may...

i've noticed the ever vigilant and dutiful dakota just a chore board fiend here, but my question is... if i may say... could he be a little more detailed in what he's doing? If for no other reason than he seems like he knows what the hell is going on and for some of the slaves who might be new, or even those who do not know as much as he does ... it could be a great way for us errr them *grins* to better learn how to do some out of the ordinary things or to better ourselves for the One(s) we serve.

How do you test fire bricks?
How did he preserve food?
How did he go about making the pillar candles? Were they scented?

i hope that it is ok for me to ask such things; i've always been a huge one of believing that one of the best ways to learn was by talking with and watching peers... and if i cant get in to rp with dakota, i sure as heck wanna pick his brain some about his doings... and hope to benefit from his knowledge and perhaps sometimes return the favor...
