kiah was there
(not, of course, on the battlefield but on/in the medical wagon, dealing with our casualties)
kiah was called to work in the medical wagon just as the battle exploded. initially instructed to cut cloth for bandages, she was soon given on the spot triage training and in came the casualties. with the simpler task, kiah was able to sink into service, burying emotions and effectively contributing but she soon became overwhelmed with the responsibility to decide if a Master would receive treatment and possibly live or be passed by and probably die. it went against her very nature, but so was the possibility of not obeying the Healer's orders. the struggle was instant and immense, needing so badly to truly be of help but getting her heartbroken every time she saw another Warrior suffering. there were no simple injuries and thus no easy answers unless the Warrior was already dead. the incomprehensible sights and nauseating odors were etched into her head and heart, surely to haunt her forever. she will always remember those that passed in her very presence and she will never be able to forget those Warriors arriving with that battle rage still coursing thru them. kiah knows she will never look at a Tuchuk Master the same way again.
(the roleplay was simply amazing. she is so proud of her Family. our Mistresses were truly inspirational and our Masters were quite disturbing. how lucky she was to be part of the experience, both actively participating and simply watching/reading)
