Update:

As of 7 am on my way to work, they had not operated. They were still trying tests and trying to keep his BP stable,etc.

Because he is in Surgical ICU,  they have limited visiting, 20 minute blocks 4 times a day. I have bribed the nurse to let me in as soon as I can get there now that I got off work, so I don't have to wait till 8:30 tonight.

I will know more when I get home later.
Thanks to each and every one of you for your prayers, because I know God listens. .. just ask Nexie *soft smile*.. and keep them coming.

As of 6 pm tonight when they threw me out..
 
He was still in pain and they have not operated. They want his BP and heartrates stable without drugs if at all possible before they do. I guess they are working on that, buying time and hoping there is no appendix eruption until they feel much more confident about opening him up. They won't give him major pain meds until he is relatively stable BP for a couple hours at a time because, well, as those of us who were once aspiring street corner chemists know.. morphine, delaudin, etc.. they make you "nod out", BP droppage and all that sort of thing.
I was only supposed to get to stay one half hour, but when they came in to tell me time was up. .He flat told them.. you took my food, you took my water (His only nourishment is in IV so as not to irritate the appendix), you don't let me have a shower, and you took my freakin' pants! .. you will NOT take my woobie before I am ready for her to be gone.  *LOL*  They left me be for 3 hours..

We both think it is ironic that he has been on meds for years to keep his BP down because it is high, and now they have him on drugs to raise it. I also don't like the doubts he has about being in the "butcher hospital" as he calls it. I don't like that he thinks he might not make it out.

He said to tell you all that he loves you, that he thanks you for your prayers, and to carry on.

and I thank you and love you too.. please keep praying. ..

He says.. if he has something to be totally pissed about it will make him fight more.. .. I am sure someone can manage to pull something off.. LOL.. please ... if you do.. post it here.. I will be printing this thread out to take to him tomorrow before I go.

I do have a color printer, if you want to leave pics of any sort...

My name is Nicki and for those of you that don't know, I am Nex's cousin and her full time live-in nurse.  She's asked me to post this for woobie and Ragnar.

Woobie:  time is a wicked bitch, particularly in situations like this.  But you have a wall of strength behind you in the form of a loving Tuchuk family.  Lean on us, call on us, because you and Rags are our heart.  My thoughts and prayers are with the both of you, as is my love.

Rags:  Now is the time to 'keep on keeping on'.  I ain't sitting up at those purty pearl gates in the back of St. Pete's truck drinkin' a heavenly beer-- so don't you go getting any notions of doing that anytime soon.  Gotta come back to us, no ifs, ands, or buts.

For Tuchuk:  I love you, and think about you all often.  Even if I can't be there 'physically', I am -always- there with you in spirit.

Dear sweet woobie.....I am so sorry to read just now about Ragnar.

Please know that you both are in my thoughts, in my heart,  and most definitely in my prayers. May God, in His infinite mercy, place His healing hands upon Ragnar and assist the surgeons and team in the operating room. May He also bless you, woobie, with an extra measure of his love during this most trying time.

As for your boss at work .....I think it stinks that he/ she will not give you the time off you need to be with your Man, but we will ask God to bless him/ her  too.....to soften their heart and have a little compassion.

I wish youGod-speed, my buddy RAGS!!

i know that when health is involved many dont know the right words to say, My grandmother used to have me say this prayer when i was sick, and i still to this day do it even though its been a year since shes been able to remind me
