kiah's ooc and complete lack of r/p
« on: May 19, 2008, 05:09:03 AM »
family,

please know that kiah had some day surgery this past friday, which is why she was ooc a lot last week, having much on her mind and away this weekend and will be awhile longer. things went as expected and her recovery should continue to be quick, as long as she doesnt over due it. not one to baby herself she tends to start doing 'things' when she feels better, only to pay for it a bit later. who would have thought that shower you wait 48 hours for could feel so good and then so bad (exhausted) afterwards. please take good care of eachother and yourselves...~hugs~...kiah{MTC}

thinks kiah needs to follow doctors orders on what and when she can do what... because rushing too soon could have a negative effect and could get her in deep kimchi with certain folks that care and worry for her....... like me......

things i learned regarding my surgery

this hospital (along with others in New England after googling the stuff) makes everyone (not having head or ob/gyn surgery) shower the night before and day of, with Hibliclens, to help prevent preop/post op infection.

if you are allergic to kiwi (i am) - they automatically consider/crossreference you to be allergic to latex. i found this out after telling the sixth person i am not allergic to latex and have them tell me they have you down on the sheet that you are and have a medical student ready to observe my surgery finally tell me where what i thought was an 'error' came from. the student teaches the nurses, techs, etc - i love it :)

these may be things only done at this hospital, the presurgery showering alarming to me until i found more info on it & found a relative whom works in healthcare had to prep a patience at a nursing home that way. as Master Ubar said, it wouldn't/didn't hurt me and after tomorrow's dr's appt. i hope to say 'all's well that ends well'....kiah{MTC}

~huggles you tightly~ I am glad to hear things went well with the surgery, minus the latex bit, though I have noticed that if you say you are allergic to one thing, they will mark off a list of things that you are allergic to as well, just to make double sure they don't end up causing problems that will haunt them in the form of lawsuits... ~snorts~

As for taking it easy and not overdoing things, you seem to be like me, I feel fine, so I am going to go out and see friends or go shopping, since I am no longer restricted on what I can and can't eat, and in the end get home, leave the groceries for someone else to put away as I crawl to my room and bed, curl up and die, with or without tears because I hurt like a mofo, and then wait for the lectures, and if there are none, just do whatever hubby tells me to do so I can stop hurting... As many here got to see what happened after my gall bladder surgery, something that was not my doing, but a side effect of the hard time they had removing said gall bladder, causing them to scrap it away from my liver... but I couldn't wait for my shower after 3 days, I wanted that damn iodine off my skin, as it was starting to really itch, so I only waited 2 days and washed around my surgitape sites... ~snorts~ but try not to overdo it, it will just set you back a few more days or weeks, and that's never any fun...

~slips out before I end up rambling more and huggles you again before I slip out~

~loves your huggles~..thank you Mistress...~grins~...kiah like you?...oh she is pretty sure that is a compliment so she will take that and run..~impish smile~...seriously though, yes, it sounds just about right/like her and she tries to listen to her body but sometimes there's a 'mommmmmm' or 'wash me' or 'clean this' echoing from somewhere..*giggles*...she knows she knows...put them on mute...~looks around for that remote~...thanks again Mistress!

kiah did go to her follow up appointment on the lumpectomy and all the lumps show no evidence of malignancy!! she had benign breast parenchyma w/ extensive fat necrosis, chronic inflammation and foreign giant cell reaction aka fatty tissue lumps and dead tissue from swelling and infection from kiah poking around instead of immediately going to the dr.

take care of yourselves, everyone -by going to the professionals!
~blows kiah kisses~...love to my family!

Surgery.  Fuuuuuuun.  Having just recovered from c section surgery in February, I would have to say, that taking it easy blows.  I didn't take it easy of course, but then with a newborn, you can't really take it easy can you? -lol- But you take it easy, lady.  Well as easy as you possibly can with your own little one running around like a monkey.

please know that kiah misses her family, being amongst them, and feeling close to them.

her daughter's baby (girl) shower is in two weeks and she is waiting for the call, any moment, that her her niece's twins (baby girls) have been born!

she hopes to be to r/p again soon...~heading off to make a diaper cake~
