Dear Diary,
I desperately need to talk to Carl and find out what this novel with Mary is all about. Their insistence that I don't see it until it's finished is driving me crazy. Have those secret tapes Cody took of my various sexual dalliances fallen into their hands? Where the hell IS Cody?
He disappeared when that Lance Zodic guy was arrested for all those terrible rapes and murders. Surely, Cody wasn't involved in that. He promised me he was going to be on the straight and narrow now that I'd helped him get his new computer software business rolling and a residence in Brooklyn!
I can't help but wonder if Carl is fucking Mary now. I know she loves sex and uses it in her novels, so why am I suddenly jealous? After all, I'm the one that strayed all over the map, and I'm certainly enjoying all this freedom. It wouldn't be fair for me to expect Carl to restrict his sexual activities when I'm not, but boy was he ever good in bed!
Gee, I haven't been laid in weeks!
